The governor was reportedly in Aso Rock to brief the president on the state of security in Bauchi State. Recently, there have been significant unrest in several areas of Bauchi. The governor specifically informed the President about the unsettling bandit activity in the state’s Alkaleri local government region, which calls for prompt intervention.
Speaking to state House correspondents about recent political developments, including the surge of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bala Mohammed stated that the defectors are free to join any party they choose. The governor, however, continues to support staying in the opposition party.
