A thousand Bode Georges cannot stop Atiku from becoming president – Timi Frank
Frank stressed that if Atiku is destined by God, no opposition from George or anyone else can stop him from eventually becoming the president of Nigeria.
Former Deputy Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has slammed Chief Bode George, the Peoples Democratic Party leader, for saying that Atiku Abubakar cannot become president in 2027.
Frank said that a thousand Bode cannot stop George Atiku Abubakar from becoming the next president of Nigeria if it is God’s will.
He made the statement in response to recent remarks about Atiku by a former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
George recently spoke about former Vice President Atiku’s political ambitions.
George suggested that Atiku’s presidential ambitions should be postponed to 2031 as the PDP is expected to nominate a southern candidate for the 2027 elections.
Frank, on the other hand, rejected George’s advice and accused George of exceeding his authority and indulging in self-deception.
Frank stressed that no opposition from George or anyone else could prevent Atiku from eventually assuming the post of Nigeria’s president if it was ordained by God.
He said, “How can a man who is at the mercy of the Supreme Court assume the position of God?”
Frank posed the question, citing George’s conviction in 2009 by a Lagos High Court for abuse of power and contract sharing while he was the Director General of the Nigerian Ports Authority.
Although George was acquitted by the Supreme Court in 2013, Frank maintained that this background makes it unfit to make any definitive statement about the country’s future leadership. Furthermore, Frank disapproved of George’s previous statements, especially his promise to renounce his Nigerian citizenship and move to Ghana if Bola Tinubu becomes president in 2023, a promise George has so far failed to fulfill.
“This man said on Arise TV in 2022 that you can bet any amount of money that Tinubu has no educational qualifications, and yet we are here,” Frank explained.
On the possibility of Atiku running for president in 2027, Frank clearly believed that no force, including George, can stop what God has ordained.
“Even if God says Atiku will be president in 2027, a thousand Olabode Georges living in the breadth of the Supreme Court cannot overturn that,” he explained. Finally, Frank pointed out that George never supported Atiku in any elections ever, but Atiku always won the PDP primaries.
“Furthermore, George never supported Atiku in any elections ever, but he always won the primaries and emerged as the candidate of the PDP,” Frank stressed.
