1. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has asked a Federal Court in Lagos to dismiss the appeal of former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, who sought to seize $2.4 million and block some of the prime properties linked to him. Emefiele’s legal team, led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Olalekan Ojo, on Friday pleaded before Justice Deinde Isaac Dipeolu for a stay of proceedings pending the outcome of the appeal.
