Governor Godwin Obaseki

Ogbeide Ifaruyi-Isibor, the Commissioner for Digital Economy, Science and Technology under the outgoing Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, said his boss will be charged with looting the state treasury.

Ogbeide Ifaruyi-Isibor said Governor Obaseki will be charged with stealing $2.5 trillion of the World Bank loan to the country.

On Monday, under his X handle, Isibor predicted what the fate of the governor would be at the hands of the incoming All Progressives Congress (APC) government of Senator Okpeboro on Monday.

He also added that social influencers are being paid to spread allegations of looting against Governor Obaseki to spread stories of corruption.

He, however, noted that the outgoing governor served Edo State to the best of his ability. “From tomorrow (today) morning, you will read that Obaseki stole $2.5 trillion loan from the World Bank and defrauded his mistress of 700 billion naira.

“They will pay millions of dollars to a few Twitter guys in Lagos to post quickly and give people in Benin and Auchi 10,000 naira to post on Facebook.

“We know the format, they will do all this media nonsense to gain legitimacy before the people, but what will happen? Edo peoples are not smart!

“Godwin Obaseki has done his best, so you too should shut up and do your best,” Ifaruyi Isibor said.
Governor Obaseki’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration ends today (Tuesday).
