Simon Ekpa Rejoices, Claims 50 million People Voted For Biafra Self Determination
Ekpa, known as the BRGIE Prime Minister, disclosed this in a statement on his X official account on Tuesday. Chairman of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE), Simon Ekpa, claimed that over 50 million people voted for Biafra independence referendum and celebrated the success.
Ekpa stated this on his X page on Tuesday.
The BRGIE Prime Minister said the willingness of Biafrans to embrace electronic and physical voting shows their enthusiasm for liberation.
He claimed that the number of Biafrans who voted for the independence referendum in the past eight months is higher than the total number of eligible voters in the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, which is 25,286,616 million.
He cited marginalization, underdevelopment, insecurity, attacks on Christians, and poverty in the Southeast and South-South regions as reasons for the referendum.
“Note that the physical ballot template for the Biafra referendum recorded over 50 million votes, double the result of the general election.
“50 million votes have been officially recorded and registered in the 40 states of Biafra.
“We can make it possible! Tell our children how we did it.
Let the historians start their work,” he urged. Recall that Ekpa had last week released a map of the 40 states and described it as a new map of Biafra.
