Suspected Armed Robbers In Police Uniform Apprehended In Lagos

A video shared online shows police officers beating the men before taking them away.

Two suspected criminals disguised as police officers have been arrested by the Lagos State Police.
They are wearing police uniforms but are not part of the police force.

“Police uniforms… “He’s wearing a police uniform, he has the rank of inspector,” a female police officer behind the camera can be heard groaning in disbelief as she watches the fake officers parade.

“Wahala. Lagos is not looking elsewhere,” she added.
The male officers also displayed the weapons they used to catch the fake officers.

“Hey, he’s not using it,” an officer said as he examined the gun, suggesting the fake officer had fired it recently. It’s not clear what the men did with the police uniforms and guns, but they are believed to have used them to rob and extort members of the public.
