Yobe: Gunman kills police officer, burns house in deadly attack

Gunmen suspected of being terrorists have killed a police officer identified as Sule Babur in Yobe state. The tragic incident took place at Babur’s residence in Mairi Community, Buni Yadi, Gujba Local Government Area.

According to state police public relations officer DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, after killing Babur, the attackers set fire to his house.

“The attackers also burned his house. The incident has shocked the community and an urgent investigation is needed to bring the perpetrators to justice,” Mr. Abdulkarim said.
