Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite has advised single women to only settle for guys who are suitable for them rather than accepting relationship or marriage proposals from men just because they choose them.
Adegbite stated in a recent podcast episode that was uploaded on her YouTube channel that some women frequently choose guys who are prepared to settle down just because the men picked them, without thinking about whether they are a good fit for them.
“Ladies, don’t pick someone just because they picked you. Whether the person is younger, older, or exactly your age, you should choose them because they are the ideal fit for you.
The issue is always: Can we love, support, and grow together?
“Because we are not searching for numbers in the end. We are seeking a companion. Additionally, it’s acceptable if that partner is younger, she added.
Adegite cautioned older ladies against accepting proposals from younger guys just because they are younger. Before accepting the potential younger partner, she advised them to determine whether he is respectful and emotionally mature.
“To the older woman, please don’t choose a younger man just because you feel attracted to him if he shows interest in you. Select him because he makes you feel safe, respected, and supported. “Only pick him if he is emotionally mature, knows what he wants, respects your life and your children, and genuinely wants to build something with you,” she continued.
