The tragic deaths of his wife, Emmanuella Chizoba, and their daughter, Onyinyechi Prisca, in the stampede at Christ the King Cathedral (CKC) in Aba, Abia State, have been mourned by Peter Ukaegbu, a Nigerian.

Following the stampede that took place during the yearly Christ the King procession on Sunday, November 25, 2024, the mother, daughter, and three other worshippers were trampled to death, with roughly thirteen children admitted to the hospital.

Since security personnel were accused of locking the church’s gates, it is thought that the incident happened as a result of the Christ the King Cathedral being overcrowded.

Ukaegbu disclosed in a heartbreaking Facebook post that he and his spouse had intended to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary on November 30 in Port Harcourt. As we had planned until November 23, 2024, we would have been in P.H.C. today commemorating our tenth wedding anniversary.

I was informed that my wife and daughter were no longer with me when you woke up on Sunday morning with my lovely daughter, who also serves as my second wife, cooked, bathed your kids, and travelled to Corpus Christi.

He wrote, “This double tragedy has uprooted my joy, thrown me into mourning, and made me restless.” “Being lighter than banana leaves, I used to believe that I was brave and strong.

My level of fear is unimaginable, and I’m not sure where to begin. “I’m stunned, perplexed, and unsure of what to do at the moment. It is regrettable that you and your daughter were absorbed by the same location where you were married.

I pray that this ailment won’t resurface. “I have experienced religion. “May your souls rest in your creator’s bossom.”

“Good night, my love.” Peter Ukaegbu, Emmanuella Chizoba. Onyinyechi Prisca Ukaegbu (Ada Daddy Ya), good night.
