Moghalu, who previously served as the Executive Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), commented on his resignation in an official letter.

The letter was addressed to the APC Chairman of Uruagu Ward 1, Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of ​​Anambra State, and was also sent to the party’s local and state government chairmen.
The resignation letter, titled “Resignation from APC”, marks the formal end of Moghalu’s association with the ruling party.

The letter reads: “With best wishes from my dear family, I wish to formally inform you of my decision to terminate my APC membership effective today, August 26, 2024.”

“It is my greatest wish and expectation that we will continue to maintain the warm relationship we have built over the years.
“I wish you and all party members all the best. As always, thank you for your support.”
