It has been reported that Okpebholo on Monday will be sworn in as the next Governor of Edo State and will appoint Paddy Emmanuel Iyamu as his new Chief of Staff.
Okpebholo will be sworn in today in the state capital, Benin, as the fifth Governor of Edo State since 1999.
“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Governor-elect of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpeboro, will introduce Paddy Iyamu as his Chief of Staff,” a source told Naija News on Monday.
Iyamu is a human resource management consultant, security expert, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
He obtained his first and second degrees in Business Administration (Bachelor of Science, MBA) from the prestigious University of Benin and later obtained a Specialised Diploma in Safety and Security Management from Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
He also received an honorary doctorate in Petroleum Resources from the European American University.
Okpebholo inauguration is expected to attract dignitaries and party supporters and will take place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The stadium was thought to be ready for a mega event to mark Okpebholo inauguration.
In a show of unity, governors and Senate President Godswill Akpabio of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are expected to lead the Red House members in eulogizing Okpebholo.
The new deputy governor and incumbent member of the House of Representatives, Dennis Idahosa, is supported by members of the Green Chamber led by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
