The infant needed CPR to get a pulse after being taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest. 18 injuries in various stages of healing were found during a medical evaluation at the hospital, which is consistent with long term maltreatment.
The youngster suffered fractures to the ribs, clavicle, arms, legs, and skull in addition to a significant brain injury and subdural haemorrhage. Sadly, the youngster passed away six months later.
On April 20, 2017, Olawusi was originally taken into custody by police and accused of first-degree child abuse. He was set free the same day, but he later ran away.
